2022
“Outstanding Leadership In Healthcare”
Award from Health 2.0

Public LinkedIn Announcement about Award
In December2022, I was honored with the “Outstanding Leadership in Healthcare” award at the Health 2.0 conference in Dubai. The kind folks on the awards committee let me share my gratitude on stage, but that gratitude really must also be shared with many of you. Here is what I said:

“Hi, I’m Alisan Atvur, principal UX researcher and design thinking catalyst at Novo Nordisk. I am a part of a massive effort to research and design increasingly better ways to treat chronic diseases. This work means the world to me.... Improving the quality of life by improving the quality of care is an immensely complex and immensely necessary pursuit, and it is my honour to play my part in this effort. I thank my colleagues at Novo Nordisk for their expertise and insight in this work. I thank my family for their support of this pursuit. And I thank the thousands of people who have let me into their lives (people living with chronic diseases, the HCPs, the policy makers, the experts) so that I may learn more about their challenges, their needs, and their hopes for better futures.”

2015
Core 77 Runner Up Award
for the i60 Innovation Tool

Details from Awards Page
“In this project, we developed a digital tool that can easily distribute to all members of the organization, empowering every person to tap into the design process to contribute to the next wave of game- changing concepts. By embracing the idea that all people are naturally creative and tend toward collaboration, we conceived, designed, and developed a companion tool that acts as shepherd for both designers and non-designers alike to easily connect and produce meaningful concepts that add significant value to the organization and the consequent world. All this, while continuing to perform at a high level in their designated roles.”
